All schools and facilities will be open Wednesday, September 15, 2021. The decision to reopen schools is based on information gathered from the National Weather Service and the Office of Emergency Preparedness.

All St. Landry Parish schools and facilities will be open to students Tuesday, August 31, 2021, with the exception of Cankton Elementary, Eunice Junior High (follow pre-hurricane hybrid schedule), Port Barre Middle, Port Barre High School, and Washington Career and Technical Education Center. The above-mentioned schools will continue at-home learning for students. You will receive additional information from your schoolâs administrator.
Students attending the St. Landry Parish Virtual Learning Academy will be contacted with additional information regarding coursework.
All SLPSB schools and facilities will be closed Monday, August 30, due to the impending landfall of Hurricane Ida. Continue to follow our district app, district Facebook page, local news outlets, and the district website for updates on the reopening of schools next week.
Our weekly COVID Testing Program begins tentatively after Labor Day. In order for your child to participate in testing, youâll need to register them for the program.

We are in the final stretch of Camp Accelerate, and our students are doing great things! As a reminder, Camp Accelerate will dismiss at 1:30 on Thursday. Bus transportation will still be provided.

Arnaudville Middle students have been enjoying hands-on science activities during Camp Accelerate. Sixth grade scientists have been exploring electric & magnetic forces while 8th graders engaged in a fossil dig & used fossils as clues into the history of organisms of the past.
Effective immediately, the mask mandate for students, staff and SLPSS facility visitors has been lifted. Masks are still required while traveling on SLPSS buses.
