Palmetto Elementary parents grades 2 & 3: if you are interested in signing your student up for flea/fly football or cheerleading in Port Barre, please see info below: ‼️‼️ FLEA/FLY UPDATE‼️‼️ We are planning for flea fly registration/fittings! Weather permitting, second and final day will be SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th from 4-5:30 PM at the PBHS gym! We plan on picking teams early next week! And practice will be announced by coaches! We are still accepting volunteers for cheerleading & football coaches!!

Attn Palmetto Elementary Parents: Mrs Jacob's bus riders will be riding Mrs Payne's bus today 9/12/24 and tomorrow 9/13/24.

Important St. Landry Parish School District Announcement: After consulting with the Office of Emergency Preparedness, all schools and administrative offices will be open tomorrow, Thursday, September 12, 2024. However, please be aware that there may be transportation delays due to the aftermath of Hurricane Francine. Given the extensive geography of our parish, we understand that some areas may face challenges. If your family is experiencing storm-related difficulties that prevent your child from attending school, please reach out to the school to inform them. We are pleased to inform you that the St. Landry Parish School Board is participating in a meal service option called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). All enrolled students in the District are eligible to receive a breakfast and lunch meal at NO CHARGE to your household throughout the school year. The schools listed below (all schools) are participating for SY 2024-25:
