Creswell Middle School Students will switch to “Remote Learning”on Thursday, January 20th and Friday, January 21st.

Good Morning CMS Parents: Today, Wednesday, January 19th- All 6th grade students will work remotely from home.
Please come by school after 8 am to pick up your child’s chromebook and charger. (No school for 6th grade students only.). 5th grade students are to report to school for face to face instruction.
Hello CMS Parents: Creswell Middle School will transition to remote learning Thursday, January 20th and Friday, January 21st. Today, all 5th grade students will go home with their chromebook and charger along with all of the necessary materials. If your 5th grade or 6th grade child does not have their chromebook, charger or necessary materials, please come by the school after 8:00am tomorrow morning (1/20/21). There will be No Face to Face Instruction for both 5th and 6th grade students. All available faculty and staff will report to school on both of these days.
Hello CMS Parents: There will be NO Learning Beyond the Bell Afterschool Tutoring today, Wednesday, January 19th, tomorrow, Thursday, January 20th, and Friday, January 21st. All students will be dismissed following their regular bus or car routines. We are hoping to resume LBTB Afterschool Tutoring on Monday, January 24, 2022. Free Covid Testing and Vaccination Events
Hello CMS Parents: Bus 559 (Ms. Cindy Gilino) will not be running in the morning and the afternoon tomorrow, Tuesday, January 18th and Wednesday, January 19th. There is no sub for this bus. Please make the necessary arrangements to get your child/children to and from school on these days.

Effective Tuesday, January 18, 2022, the LDH is announcing an additional drive-through Community Based Testing Site at Evangeline Downs Casino.
Preregistration is required for the Evangeline Downs testing site only at: www.orion.healthcare/community.
Rapid testing supplies extremely limited and we will be moving to PCR tests only once our supply is exhausted. PCR is the most sensitive test for COVID-19 and results are emailed usually within 24 hours of collection.

Drive Thru COVID-19 Testing
Magnet Academy for Cultural Arts is accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year in the art areas of creative writing, dance, instrumental music, theatre, visual arts, and vocal music. Students who are entering grades 7-12 and are zoned for a St. Landry Parish school are eligible to apply.

If you suspect your child of having Talented characteristics in MUSIC, THEATRE AND/OR VISUAL ART contact your child’s school for a referral to the School Building Level Committee. Talented referrals and evaluations are only conducted once a year in the Spring.

Students will be allowed to wear BLUE jeans- (NO rips, No holes, No tears, and NO colored jeans) with a CMS spirit shirt or uniform shirt.
